Ingredients
Scale
1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese, for serving
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Blue cheese dressing, for serving
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if baking.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk and buffalo wing sauce.
Dip each cauliflower floret into the almond milk mixture, then dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Arrange the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. If air frying, cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
While the cauliflower is cooking, whisk together the melted butter and buffalo wing sauce in a small bowl.
Once the cauliflower is cooked, toss it gently in the buffalo sauce mixture until evenly coated.
Serve immediately, garnished with crumbled blue cheese and fresh parsley. Offer blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
Notes
For an extra crispy texture, you can double-coat the cauliflower. Dip in the milk mixture, then flour, then back into the milk mixture, and finally into the flour again.
Adjust the amount of buffalo wing sauce to your spice preference.
If you don’t have blue cheese, ranch dressing is also a good dipping option.
This recipe is a great healthy appetizer option, similar to what you might find from some meal planning services.
