A simple, layered no-bake dessert with an Oreo crust, chocolate pudding, and whipped topping, perfect for summer potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup, for drizzling
  • Optional: Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk. Let stand for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. Spread the thickened pudding evenly over the Oreo crust.
  4. Spread the thawed whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  5. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped topping.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, you can bake the Oreo crust for 8-10 minutes at 350°F (175°C) and let it cool completely before adding the pudding.
  • Ensure you use instant pudding mix, not regular pudding mix.
  • Keep the dessert refrigerated until ready to serve.
