Ingredients
Scale
6 cups sliced fresh peaches (about 6–8 medium)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, gently toss the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the peach mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
In a separate medium bowl, combine 1 cup flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
Pour the melted butter over the oat mixture and stir until just combined and crumbly.
Evenly sprinkle the oat topping over the peaches in the baking dish.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
Let the crisp cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
You can use frozen peaches if fresh peaches are not available, but do not thaw them completely before using.
Adjust the sugar based on the sweetness of your peaches.
