Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs salmon fillet
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp dried dill (or 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: Lemon slices and fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dill.
Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon. Season with salt and pepper.
If using, arrange lemon slices on top of the salmon.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillet.
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a crispier top, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, watching closely to prevent burning.
Feel free to swap dill for other herbs like parsley, chives, or thyme.
This recipe is great for meal prep. Portion the cooked salmon into containers for easy lunches throughout the week.
Consider pairing with roasted vegetables like asparagus or broccoli cooked on the same sheet pan for a complete meal.
