Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Tear off two large pieces of aluminum foil, about 12 inches long each.
  3. Place one salmon fillet on the center of each piece of foil.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over each salmon fillet.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  7. Fold the foil to create sealed packets, ensuring no sauce can escape.
  8. Place the foil packets on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  10. Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam).
  11. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can add vegetables like asparagus or broccoli florets to the foil packets along with the salmon.
  • Ensure the foil packets are well-sealed to keep the salmon moist.
