Create perfectly seasoned air fryer potato wedges with a crunchy exterior and soft, fluffy centers. This simple recipe delivers a healthier alternative to deep-frying, perfect for a quick side dish or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large Russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the potatoes completely. Cut each potato lengthwise into 8 wedges.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil until lightly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and oregano.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the oiled wedges and toss again to coat evenly.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the cut wedges in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry them thoroughly before seasoning.
  • If you want a zesty seasoning, add 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder to the spice mix.
  • These wedges pair well with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.
