A festive fall pitcher cocktail made with apple cider, white wine, and cinnamon. This make-ahead drink is perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine (like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brandy or caramel vodka
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Optional: 1/4 cup caramel sauce for drizzling
  • Optional: Cinnamon-sugar for rimming glasses

Instructions

  1. If rimming glasses, mix cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass and dip into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, and brandy or caramel vodka.
  3. Add the sliced apple, sliced pear, and cinnamon sticks to the pitcher.
  4. Stir gently to combine.
  5. For best flavor, cover the pitcher and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. If using caramel sauce, you can drizzle some into each glass before serving.
  7. Pour the sangria into prepared glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of apple or pear and a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, top off each glass with a splash of club soda or prosecco just before serving.
  • Adjust the sweetness by using a sweeter or drier apple cider.
  • You can substitute rosé wine for white wine for a different flavor profile.
  • This recipe makes approximately 6-8 servings.
