Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix

  2. Pour the apple pie filling into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the apple pie filling.
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.

  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
  • This dessert is a great make-ahead option for potlucks.
  • For a variation, try using a spice cake mix instead of yellow.
