Create an impressive, layered dessert quickly with this no-bake Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle. It combines creamy cheesecake mousse, rich chocolate cake, and Irish cream for an indulgent treat perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (prepared according to package directions and cooled, or use store-bought chocolate cake/brownies)
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream (for soaking cake)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to package directions, let it cool completely, then cut or crumble it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Mix in 1/2 cup of Baileys Irish Cream until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until just combined. This is your cheesecake layer.
  4. Take a large glass trifle bowl or individual serving glasses. Dip the chocolate cake pieces lightly into the remaining 1/2 cup of Baileys Irish Cream to moisten them slightly.
  5. Begin layering the trifle: Place a layer of the Baileys-soaked chocolate cake pieces at the bottom of the bowl.
  6. Spoon half of the cheesecake mixture evenly over the cake layer.
  7. Add another layer of the soaked chocolate cake pieces.
  8. Top with the remaining cheesecake mixture.
  9. Chill the trifle for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set.
  10. Before serving, garnish the top generously with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For an extra decadent layer, you can substitute the chocolate cake with chocolate fudge brownies or chocolate wafer cookies.
  • If you prefer a firmer cheesecake layer, chill the mixture for 30 minutes before assembling the trifle.
  • You can make individual mini Baileys chocolate cheesecake trifles using small jars or wine glasses for easy serving at parties.
