Make tender, slightly charred broccolini quickly using this simple roasting method with garlic and lemon. This is an easy, flavorful side dish perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb broccolini, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the trimmed broccolini on the prepared sheet pan.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the broccolini. Add the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using.
  4. Toss everything together directly on the pan until the broccolini is evenly coated. Spread the broccolini into a single layer.
  5. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the stems are tender-crisp and the florets show slight browning.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice immediately before serving.
