Create the best homemade burger sauce that tastes like popular fast-food versions. This creamy, tangy sauce is ready in five minutes and works perfectly for smash burgers, fries, or as a versatile sandwich spread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder to the bowl.
  3. Whisk the ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  4. For the best flavor, cover the bowl and chill the burger sauce in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Use generously on your smash burgers, as a dip for fries, or as a creamy sandwich spread.

Notes

  • For a Big Mac style sauce copycat, add 1/2 teaspoon of finely minced white onion.
  • If you prefer a tangier sauce, increase the white vinegar by another 1/2 teaspoon.
  • This sauce tastes best after chilling, as it allows the flavors to fully combine.
