Make this rich, fudgy brownie batter dip in minutes. It tastes like raw brownie batter but is safe to eat, perfect for parties or a quick sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (about 18.3 ounces) standard brownie mix (do not bake)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, plus more for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese and butter in a large bowl. Beat them together with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the milk and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until just combined.
  3. Gradually add the dry brownie mix to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  4. If you prefer a sweeter dip, mix in the powdered sugar now.
  5. Fold in the 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips using a spatula.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Sprinkle extra mini chocolate chips over the top for garnish.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dippers, or cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For dipping, use graham crackers, pretzels, vanilla wafers, strawberries, or apple slices.
  • If you are concerned about using raw flour from the mix, you can heat the dry brownie mix in the microwave until it reaches 165°F to pasteurize it before mixing.
  • This recipe is a great alternative to complicated **meal planning** when you need a fast dessert.
