2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts or thighs into the basin of your slow cooker.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is very tender.
Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board or in a large bowl.
Shred the chicken using two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and toss it thoroughly with the remaining sauce until it is fully coated.
Keep warm on the ‘Keep Warm’ setting until ready to serve.
