- 2 ounces crumbled bacon
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff each jalapeno half with the cream cheese mixture.
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Dip the stuffed jalapenos, cheese-side down, into the breadcrumb mixture to coat.
- Place the coated jalapenos on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- For a spicier popper, leave some of the seeds in the jalapenos.
- You can substitute other cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika to the cream cheese mixture.
