Make buttery, garlicky bread with a golden crust and soft center.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French baguette or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, butter-side up.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the butter is bubbly.
  7. Slice into desired portions and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of black pepper to the butter mixture.
  • If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • For a crispier crust, you can broil the bread for the last 1-2 minutes of baking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
