2 (14.5 ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup French’s Crispy Fried Onions, divided
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
Pour the bean mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven. Sprinkle half of the crispy fried onions over the top of the casserole.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately top with the remaining crispy fried onions before serving.
Notes
For a Southern style variation, you can add 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the soup mixture before baking.
You can prepare this casserole up to one day ahead. Cover and refrigerate. Add 10 minutes to the initial baking time if baking from cold.
