A simple two-ingredient quick bread made with melted ice cream and self-rising flour. This fun recipe is perfect for baking with kids and can be customized with your favorite mix-ins.

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 pint melted ice cream (any flavor)
  • Optional mix-ins: chocolate chips, sprinkles, nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and the melted ice cream. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. If using, gently fold in any optional mix-ins.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
