Ingredients
Scale
3 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon zest
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is crucial for crispiness.
In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt until evenly coated.
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they are not overcrowded.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Flip the wings and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
While the wings are baking, prepare the lemon pepper sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and fresh lemon juice. Stir in the lemon zest.
Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the wings and toss to coat.
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, you can bake them on a wire rack set inside the baking sheet.
Adjust the amount of lemon pepper seasoning to your preference.
If you don’t have fresh lemon zest, you can omit it, but it adds a brighter lemon flavor.
These wings are best served immediately for maximum crispiness.
