Create this simple, creamy Millionaire Pie featuring pineapple and pecans in a graham cracker crust. This no-bake dessert comes together fast, making it perfect for quick treats or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust, pre-made
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese, mixing until fully combined and creamy.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until no streaks remain. Be careful not to deflate the mixture.
  4. Fold in the well-drained crushed pineapple and the chopped pecans into the cream cheese mixture. If using, fold in the halved cherries now.
  5. Spoon the entire filling evenly into the pre-made graham cracker crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm. Chilling time is necessary for the filling to set properly.
  7. Slice and serve this indulgent creamy dessert cold.

Notes

  • Drain the crushed pineapple thoroughly; excess liquid will prevent the filling from setting correctly. Press the pineapple between paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible.
  • For a richer flavor, toast the pecans lightly in a dry skillet before chopping and adding them to the filling.
  • This recipe is a great make ahead dessert; it holds well in the refrigerator for up to two days.
