A savory and sour cocktail featuring pickle brine, perfect for summer gatherings or Cinco de Mayo.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.75 oz Pickle Brine (dill or jalapeño)
  • 0.5 oz Agave Nectar (optional, to taste)
  • Ice
  • Tajín or Salt for rim
  • Garnish: Pickle slice or lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glass: Moisten the rim of your margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip it into Tajín or salt.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add tequila, lime juice, pickle brine, and agave nectar (if using) to the shaker.
  4. Shake well until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
  5. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  6. Garnish with a pickle slice or lime wedge.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, use jalapeño pickle brine or add a slice of fresh jalapeño to the shaker.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less agave nectar.
  • Experiment with different types of pickle brine for varied flavor profiles.
