Easy and hearty pulled pork sliders perfect for game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 24 slider buns
  • Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place the pork in a Dutch oven or oven-safe pot.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the pork.
  5. Cover the pot and cook for 3-4 hours, or until the pork is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the pork from the pot and shred it using two forks.
  7. Return the shredded pork to the pot and mix with the sauce.
  8. Toast the slider buns.
  9. Assemble the sliders by spooning the pulled pork onto the bottom halves of the buns. Add your desired toppings.
  10. Place the top halves of the buns on top.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, you can add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to the sauce mixture.
  • If you don’t have an oven-safe pot, you can transfer the pork and sauce to a baking dish after cooking.
  • This recipe is great for meal planning and can be made ahead of time.
