A festive and creamy hummus recipe featuring pumpkin puree and warm spices, perfect for fall gatherings or healthy snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 tablespoons water, as needed
  • Optional garnishes: pepitas, olive oil, paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine chickpeas, pumpkin puree, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, pumpkin pie spice, cumin, and salt in a food processor.
  2. Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired creamy consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with pepitas, a drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of paprika, if desired.

Notes

  • Serve with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
  • This hummus can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
