A festive fall twist on classic Rice Krispie treats, flavored with pumpkin and warm spices.

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 (10 oz) package marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 drops orange food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and orange food coloring if using.
  4. Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
  5. Press mixture evenly into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a stronger pumpkin flavor, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, but this may affect the texture.
  • Ensure your pan is greased or lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • These treats are best enjoyed fresh.
