Make this simple, creamy seafood salad at home in minutes. It tastes better than store-bought and is perfect for quick lunches or summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the shredded imitation crab and chopped shrimp in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the chopped celery and red onion to the seafood mixture.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Stir the Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper into the dressing mixture.
  5. Pour the dressing over the seafood and vegetables. Gently fold everything together until the seafood is evenly coated. Do not overmix.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the seafood salad for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve cold on lettuce, as a sandwich filling, or with crackers.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you are planning your weekly meals, this recipe is a great option for simple meal planning.
  • Pat the cooked shrimp dry before chopping to prevent the salad from becoming watery.
