Make this fluffy, creamy Whipped Pink Lemonade for a refreshing summer drink that tastes like a dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup cold water (for thinning)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring (optional, for deeper color)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make simple syrup: Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  2. Combine lemon juice and cooled simple syrup in a pitcher. Stir well. If using food coloring, add a few drops now until you reach a light pink shade.
  3. In a separate, chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream with the vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Do not over-whip.
  4. Gently fold about half of the whipped cream into the lemonade mixture until just combined. This creates the creamy texture.
  5. If the mixture is too thick, slowly whisk in the remaining 1/2 cup of cold water until you reach your desired pouring consistency.
  6. Serve immediately over ice. Top each glass with a dollop of the remaining whipped cream for garnish.

Notes

  • For a natural pink color, substitute 1/4 cup of the simple syrup water with strained raspberry or strawberry juice.
  • This recipe is excellent for party drink ideas when made in a large batch.
  • If you are planning your weekly meals, this is a great recipe to keep on hand for a quick treat.
